Android Fragmentation is still a reality   ICS only on 1% of Android devices

Google has announced, in May 2011, a new update for the Android OS platform that should have brought together all devices (or at least the most) to work under the same version. The announcement of the Android version 4.0, codenamed “Ice Cream Sandwich”(ICS), was made and the compromise officially taken. Almost 1 year after, the reality is not quite what was expected and, according to the latest data presented by Google from end of January, ICS is only on 1% of the Android devices.
