According to the above screenshot from Nokia’s Official Vietnam site Nokia Belle is going to start rolling out in about a week!  This roll out of Belle was suppose to be done originally in the 4th Quarter of 2011 but got delayed by Nokia for one reason or another.  Check out the video to get a sneak peek of the updated OS.

One of the advantages of this delay is that during this delay period there have been lots of quality “unofficial builds” of Nokia Belle leaked out there.  This is good n8ews for those of you wondering exactly what Belle is about because it allowed some good quality video of Belle in action to surface. I have posted one of those for you below so you know what to expect when Belle does finally hit your Nokia Device.

While there is no “roll out” schedule by country Nokia has promised a “faster roll out than Anna” and that Belle will be done “all at once”.  So everyone get your thumbs ready to push that update button incessantly for the next few weeks or so.

The fact that Engadget, a popular US tech blog, has given the Nokia Lumia 710 a positive review is a big deal on a couple os levels. First, they’ve never really been a fan of the Nokia smart phones in the past, generally giving them less than stellar reviews, so this positive feedback means that it truly is a great phone. 

Second, because Engadget has this hostility towards Nokia, them liking the 710 means that there is a very good chance that the American public will like it as well. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Nokia will start eating up massive amounts of market share from giants like Apple and Android, but it’s definitely a start. Engadget did say however, that this phone has, by far, the most bang for your buck of any single core phone on the market right now. Hopefully, there is a chance for the highly anticipated Lumia 900 to pick up from here, and have a real impact on the US smartphone market when it is released later this year. I know I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed!

About a week ago we announced here the Jailbreak of iOS 5.0.1 for A4 devices, which meant that iPhone 4S and iPad2 owners would not be able to jailbreak. Well, it seems that the wait is about to end!

Nokia has released a video narrated by their Product Marketing Manager for Nokia 603.

The phone is presented and Symbian Belle is explained through out the Home Screens, Notifications, Menu, Web Browser, Email, NFC, Task Switcher, Social, Maps, Search and Software Updates.

According to the latest report form Twitter , they are all set to welcome the iOS 5 with Apple unveiling the final version of the software to the public along with a new iPhone on Tuesday. 

Twitter has been implemented at a system level into the operating system to allow users to share statuses and photos on the popular social network on iOS 5. Here’s from Vice President, Michael Abbot :

During the last nine months, there’s been more infrastructure changes at Twitter than there had been in the previous five years at the company,” said Abbott, who joined Twitter in May 2010. So that whether it be the death of bin Laden, or someone announces a pregnancy, we can handle those issues and you’re not seeing a fail whale.

I anticipate a lot of growth because [Twitter] is going to be on every iOS device. And certainly there’s a good number of those out there in the world. It’s going to result in more tweets.

Twitter currently serves over 230 million tweets per day so it would be interesting to see how this iOS implementation would affect the numbers.

It looks like Bada 2.0 maybe headed for some older models of Wave phones as well as the newer ones.

Of course those with the latest models will get the full advantage of the new OS.  Expect it to arrive this Q4 and then worldwide afterwards.

As Apple continues to shore up it’s iCloud service, Business Insider reports that Apple might have tried to acquire Dropbox, the online storage service.

The exact source of the rumor is still kind of fuzzy at this point, so at this point it will remain as such.  Recently valued at an amazing $4 Billion US, it is estimated that they were making nearly $100M/year.  It might make sense for Apple since Dropbox is already well established in the marketplace.  Don’t expect any official announcement soon.

It’s no big secret that Nokia will offering a Windows Phone – the Nokia SeaRay, but here’s another little tidbit from Nokia themselves!

This is a screenshot taken from Nokia’s “Create the next Nokia Tune” video for their ringtone contest.  The phone resembles the Nokia N9 with a curved screen.  The screen itself looks like the already familiar Windows Phone Live tiles.  Is this a sign of things to come?

Apple’s ecosystem offers plenty of possibility, but when it comes to Flash support, iOS seems more like a golden cage rather than a place of free choice. Puffin Web Browser ($0.99) promises to set you free with Flash support on both the iPhone and iPad, but this promise comes with pitfalls.
