Looks like the wait for release date and pricing is over for those anticipating the Nokia Lumia’s release in North America. It’s becoming more likely that the date will be March 18th, but that’s not set in stone. The bigger news is the price.

AT&T and Nokia are launching the Lumia 900 at the sweet price of only $99 with a two year contract. This is huge and will make Nokia a big player in the smartphone race again. Windows Phone will get the great device they’ve been waiting for at a price that makes it accessible to everyone. This year will definitely be one to watch as the new kid on the block has something to prove. Will you be jumping on the bandwagon?

Nokia has entered in the US Market with their biggest bet, the Windows Phone 7. The Lumia 710 is not the top phone by Nokia featuring WP7 but is intended to hit the masses with a low price target ($49.99 with a 2 year contract) and still having some nice specs for a middle range phone like his 1.4 Ghz single core processor, a 3.7″ ClearBlack TFT display with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels, 512 Mb RAM, a 5 Mpixels auto-focus camera with a LED flash and 8GB of user storage memory . This phone is expected to be available on January 11, 2012 but the guys at PhoneArena have already managed to get their hands on it, so check the video after the break.

In an attempt to beat AT&T, Verizon is now offering Ericsson Xperia PLAY, the PlayStation-certified Android smartphone for free with a two year contract term.

Although the offer is available only online, and will last just three days – until October 6.

Amazon and Wirelfy have been selling the SE Xperia Play for almost nothing since June. But that doesn’t mean Verizon’s current offer won’t lure some customers (unless they’re all waiting for Apple’s new iPhone 4S, which has been announced a few hours ago, and will come to Verizon on October 14).
