HDR Capture is a High-Dynamic-Range Imaging (HDRI) application for the Nokia N900, especially useful in situations when there is too much light, such as a portrait of a person with a bright sky behind her. The camera takes up to three images with different exposure settings and combines them to an image that shows the details of both the foreground and background objects, without under or over-exposing any of them.

NITDroid is a work in progress project being worked on by 3 main devs but alot of other people helping also, to resurrect the seemingly dead original NITDroid. This project is hoping to create a stable and working port of the Android OS for the Nokia Internet Tablets (N8x0 and N900).

This prototype from the University of Manchester (UK) shows an Active Appearance Model tracking 22 facial features (superimposed in yellow and red) in real-time on a Nokia N900 mobile phone. This demo was developed for the EU-funded ‘Mobile Biometrics’ (MoBio) project as part of a face verification system for access control (e.g. instead of a password to access your social networking profile) on mobile devices such as smartphones.
