The guys at Pocketnow shows us a preview of the new Nintent64 emulator for Android. N64oid from the Android Market let’s you play Nintendo 64 games on your Android. Given that Nintendo 64 was one of the most cutting edge consoles of its time, back in the 1990s, Pocketnow wanted to test the emulator and see how it performs. To get this to work, you’ll need the app (which is around $6), a high end Android phone (anything with a 1GHz CPU should do it), and N64 game ROMs, which can be found with an easy Google search. Be sure you download ROMs for games that you already own. As you can see, most things work quite well. There are some settings to find tune peformance, but overall, playability of MarioKart 64 and Bond 007 was quite high, as you can see in this video.
