You don’t want Steve Jobs come back at you and say “i told you” but the iPhone is a lean, mean machine of developing all sort of apps like the Swine Flu Tracker. IntuApps better their best for common public and will be releasing the Swine Flu App for free when Apple does its thing and make it available on the App Store. Three quarters of U.S. operator’s new mobile customers last quarter chose the iPhonePosted by: Phat^Trance in iPhone, iPhone Apps, Operator News, Press releasesAT&T Inc.’s Mobility unit might as well be called the “iPhone carrier.” That, essentially, is what it’s become as nearly three quarters of AT&T’s new wireless contract customers last quarter were iPhone users – an extremely large amount of influence that one product has over AT&T. Being so closely tied to the iPhone carries risk, should the phone lose its chic status or competitors catch up with similar bells and whistles. In addition, the dependence illustrates how badly the telco needs to maintain its exclusivity agreement with Apple Inc. which reportedly expires next year. While it’s unlikely to change near term, negotiations could get interesting when the iPhone steps up to fourth-generation wireless technology.
Like there was a lack of all time classic games on the iPhone, Team17 is bringing Worms to the holy grail of your iPhone’s and iPod’s 3.5 inch touch touch screen. A blast from the past, 1995 to be exact, Worm is expected to hit the App Store sometime in the next month or so, during Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Worms would be a perfect example to showcase multiplayer and voice chat capabilities of the new iPhone OS 3.0 with a bit of nostalgia for those good old days. [via]
