Spotify for Symbian app gets an update   Supports more devices

The Spotify application for Symbian has been update and fixed with a number of issues with the initial release and added support for some new models.

This release includes:

  • A fix for disappearing offline tracks.
  • A fix for the problem when adding tracks to existing playlists on touch screens.
  • Text input of special characters now added, e.g. Norwegian and French.
  • Text input on special types of keyboards now added, e.g. non-touch phones with dual keyboards.
  • New devices supported include the Nokia E72, Nokia N82, Nokia 6110 Navigator, Nokia 6210, Navigator,Nokia 6290, Nokia N79.

Symbian app: Language switcher   S60v5 and S60v3

The program is designed to loop switch input language by hotkey. By default, configured to process a long pressing the red button. All system functions assigned to it a short press, do not change and the application also will be phased out / closed.

The Nokia Messaging for social networks beta got updated today and guess what, the app now finally supports Twitter. The new beta currently supports the Nokia N97, Nokia N97 Mini, and Nokia 5800.

Other new features are:

  • Upload pictures and videos
  • Events: View upcoming events, birthdays and import to device calendar
  • Search friends
  • Click-to-call / click-to-SMS / click-to-FB Email

Wikitude Symbian

Wikitude is the first Augmented Reality Browser is available on the Nokia Platform Symbian. The Symbian version follows closely along the lines of the existent Wikitude versions for Android and iPhone. At the moment Wikitude supports Nokia N97 and N97 mini with Symbian 5th Edition. Resco Photo Viewer 5.01   Great alternative for the default gallery application on Symbian S60v5 (Touch devices)

Resco has finally released the public beta version of their Resco Photo Viewer photo gallery application for Symbian S60v5 phones (such as the Nokia 5800, N97, 5530, x6, 5230, Samsung i8910 and Sony Ericsson satio). The Resco Photo viewer application is by far the best photo / gallery application i have installed on my Symiban phones so download it and give it a try. Don’t forget that this is a beta release so there will be a few bugs.

What is new:

  • Support for touch screens in the new Symbian powered devices
  • Slightly changed user interface
  • Some minor bugs are fixed

Slideshow is not fully implemented yet in case of touch devices.
