Evans Data Corps. latest reports claim that the developers on BlackBerry platform have more chances of earning from the app then the developers working on iOS and Android.

Evans surveyed about 400 commercial developers and results are that 13% of the developers working on the BlackBerry app platform earn $100,000 or more from app which is considerable more than the developers working on iOS and Android platform.

The survey also claims that the developers working on iOS App complained high time about the selection process and thee stats reveal that approval process and restrictions came in 2nd and 3rd with 26.9% and 22.9% of the votes, respectively.

We informed you about Android being the top mobile OS in the market and survey supports the same. 30.2% of the 400 surveyed developers select the Android to top the development platform.

In December 2008, Vodafone bought the Swedish navigation company Wayfinder,  for SEK 240 million. Since then, both Nokia and Google launched their free  navigation services for mobile phones, which prompted Vodafone to give up hope of recovering their investment.

The reason for the same is that the data licence agreement with Navteq (a 100% Nokia subsidiary) was not extended, in a totally unexpected manner. It is not possible to implement data from another supplier in our Nav4All systems within the short term. The Nav4All navigation system was developed for Navteq data. Nav4All has therefore been constrained to stop.

We greatly regret the fact that we have to suspend the operation of our service. With your help, we have developed Nav4All into a global product with 27.5 million users in 56 languages, in 5 years. Opera has published the November statistics for  Opera mini, one of the worlds most popular mobile web browser. The number of Opera Mini users more than doubled — from about 16.4 million in November 2008 to 41.7 million in November 2009. This increase shows that their prediction of accelerated growth of the mobile Web has come true.  More stats after the break…

• In November 2009, Opera Mini saw increases in all three categories of growth: unique users, pages viewed, and data consumed.
• In this month’s report, we looked at countries in Africa. The top 10 countries using Opera Mini in Africa are: South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Libya, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Tanzania, and Namibia.
• Some numbers: From November 2008 to November 2009, page views in the top 10 countries of Africa increased by 374%, unique users increased by 177%, and data transferred increased by 183%.
• Since our last spotlight on Africa, Kenya jumped from #4 to #3, Ghana jumped from #11 to #5, and Ivory Coast jumped from #8 to #7.
• Growth rates in Africa: Ghana and Kenya lead the top 10 African countries in terms of page-view growth (4,348.6% and 615.4%, respectively).
