Tom from the Verge managed to get is hands on with a build of Windows 8 which is supposed to be very close to the official consumer preview. Windows 8 is being optimized for use across all multiple platofrms and here we see it working on a tablet. It looks to be very intuitive with a nice user interface that resembles Windows Phone 7. As Asus and Samsung continue their full frontal assault on the iPad, Asus is making a slight adjustment to their strategy and unifying their products under one flag. Gone is the EeePad brand and all tablets will now fall under the Transformer moniker.

Ali from MyNokiaBlog.com had a chance to get his hands on a Nokia 808 Pureview and found some interesting facts. First the software version on the prototype is version 112, the browser is version 8.2 and there is a new multitasking view. As many of you already know, the current version of Belle is 111 and the browser is on 7.4. Is this really Carla in disguise? Check out the detailed videos after the break.
Reports are coming in that the next major release of the Android OS 5.0 (Jellybean?) will not be arriving any time before this fall.
