Facebook 3.0 submits to the Apple Iphone App Store

Celebrations abound but extra prayers are needed. The Apple App store has had Facebook 3.0 submitted. We know what a roller-coaster ride the approval to the App Store can be with some Apps being issued publishing permission only to have the App removed at a later date. Hopefully none of this befalls the new Facebook 3.0 and its new fifteen (yes, you heard clearly, fifteen)  positively new features. Prior to listing the good news however, I should point out that unfortunately Push Notifications is not one of them. However, moving on swiftly from that small disappointment let us real off the new features.

Nokia N97 Mini revealed amongst other mystery Nokia phones

A mystery photo has arisen from a phone retailer. The elusive Nokia N97 mini is revealed along with other Nokia phones that are not clearly defined. We can see in the far right-hand corner what appears to be the E52 and E72. A new touch screen is pictured rumoured to be the 5900 and we can see the similarity to the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone. A few other unknowns namely a slider – possibly of the Nseries N86 family and an additional slider handset which although has the requisite D-pad, it is unusually positioned.

iPhone defects to Orange/T Mobile

We have already heard the rumours of the iPhone being offered to T-mobile customers, though only to those with high bill payment.

Presently news is that Orange are informing customers wanting to cancel their contracts who wish to purchase the iPhone to “wait and see what happens in September”. The persistent rumours are that the 3g iPhone will be available on other UK networks, Orange and T-mobile, noted to date. But that the Apple iPhone 3GS will remain exclusive to 02. 02 sells the iPhone with unlimited internet. To-date the other three big networks in the UK do not have unlimited internet, but have small-print for example vodafone 500mb per month. It will be interesting to see what the network offerings will be to compete with the defection from unlimited internet on the 02 network.

Samsung Galaxy i7500 Release Date

The first Android handset to come out of Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy i7500, is said to be available from next week on the 02 UK Network.

02 has been chosen to be the exclusive seller of the Samsung and rumours persist that the handset is already in stock in most stores, pending its release date for the week beginning 17 August 2009.

Boingo Locked (IAP) Internet Access Point For Nokia N97

The Nokia n97 ships with a three month trial to Boingo Wi-Fi pre-installed. Are you suffering from the ‘idle hands’ syndrome? If so,  it is likely that you could not content yourself without clicking on the icon in your new phone, to fire-it-up and to find out what it does. Unfortunately once you open the application, it automatically creates a locked access point that you are unable to delete manually from your settings/destinations.  However, it can be deleted as follows. Downloading the following application to your phone. Installation or in this case Running the application will remove the IAP (Internet Access Point) from your phone.

iPhone Underworld   Preaching out Loud

Apple preaching out loud. For the few who have yet to see Apple’s new phone the iPhone 3GS, for clarification the news of the iPhone’s streaming capabilities are being spread far and wide. Apple’s new offence was broadcasted live to everyone and anyone who wanted to watch over the weekend. The Techno group ‘Underworld’ had their music streamed across the globe last Saturday. If  by chance you missed the concert, you can view the entire show online Underworld. Apple proves once again that they do not rest on there laurels when it comes to advertising and being innovative.
