New NPD Poll: Android Pwns iOS and RIM

Now, I normally scold those who use the term “iPhone Killer” when referring to the latest touch screen smartphone that likely won’t sell enough to even pay off the R&D costs, but when it comes to Android, I reserve judgement. If you’re a lover of open source software and a true user friendly experience (or you really just hate Apple), get a change of pants ready.
It’s amazing that only 3 years ago, Android had a measly 2% of the US market share, yet they now dominate with 53%. Since 2010, iOS has jumped from 21% to 29%, while RIM’s Blackberry has tragically fallen down to 10% market share from 25%. To all the BBM lovers and Apple fanboys who are baffled my these statistics, let me break it down into simple terms. You may be able to chat with your girls all over the globe, or ask SIRI to set your alarm because you’re too lazy to use that complicated touch screen, but I have Nintendo 64 on my Samsung Galaxy….and it was free. Boom. Roasted.
