Turnabout is fair play in this case. Apple has been suing companies left, right and centre. It’s about time some comeuppance is delivered.
Proview Technology (Shenzhen) of Hong Kong and of Taipei registered the ‘iPad’ trademark in a number of countries and regions as early as 2000.Apple, who bought the rights to use the trademark in 2009 with a payment of 35,000 pounds ($54,616) must pay up $1.6 billion for the infringement or will be forced to rename their “iPad” in mainland China, as stated by a ruling in court earlier this week.
