Nov 01 2011 Samsung looking into flexible touchscreens for 2012 Posted by: Spiritt in Samsung, Smartphones A Samsung spokesperson recently commented on Samsung’s interest in flexible touchscreens to be developed for next year. “The flexible display, we are looking to introduce sometime in 2012, hopefully the earlier part,” said the spokesperson. “The application probably will start from the handset side.” This development may overcome the issues of shattered screens due to falls and impacts. Also, the possibility of having flexible screens can open up area for wearable clothing devices.
