Patented Slide to Unlock, original design? No, the Neonode N1m did it first.Posted by: Spiritt in iPod Have to love the the U.S. patent system, awarding an unoriginal patent to Apple. Looks like it was being done in Sweden before the famed iPhone. Take a look at the video after the break.
But, clearly as the video shows the N1m did it years prior, but it was created by a company in Stockholm. That’s the problem with patents, they can only be enforced in the country that is was filed in, unless a company files for an International Patent or International Industrial Design. This probably means Apple won’t try to file lawsuits outside of the U.S.
