Sep 08 2011 LG lays off 30% of its resources in mobile division Posted by: MASMedia in LG LG Electronics mobile division has reduced its manpower by 30% at its overseas offices. This happens as the company fails to pull profit in the mobile division for five quarters in a row and wants to continue efforts to reduce the cost and bring out more profit for the division. Mostly the Marketing and Purchasing resources have fallen victim of the layoff plan. Though no one from the company was available for a comment on this but reports from Korea Economic Daily claims that LG might even shut down the outlets that haven’t been profitable.
