Nokia Indoor Navigation

Nokia conversations have released a video showing the Indoor Navigation technology developed by the Nokia Research Center.  This technology allows to provide, with a precision of 30 cm, indoor location information on a handset and without needing GPS.

BlackBerry PlayBook

The folks at Engadget reviews the BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet. RIM BlackBerry PlayBook is introduced as the first “professional tablet” keeping with the BlackBerry’s heavy usage in the business world. The specs are hot enough to interest both consumers and business users. The PlayBook features a 7 inch capacitive LCD display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Instead of the new BlackBerry 6 OS, a new tablet version of the BlackBerry software devised by the recently acquired QNX is running the show. The tablet will have some power under the hood with a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM on board. There are two cameras. The front facing shooter is 3MP with a 5MP on back. The WebKit browser will allow for HTML-5 and Adobe Flash Player 10.1.

Everybody wants the Copy & Paste feature on their smartphones these days, even if they never use it, but how exactly has this feature been implemented on the wide array of mobile device operating systems available today? We’ll take a look at how Copy & Paste works on Windows Phone 7, Apple’s iOS 4, Android 2.2, Symbian S^3, Blackberry 6, and even the extremely old Windows Mobile 5.0. Naturally some designs may make it easier than others. Personally, I think the way Windows Mobile did it from the late 1990′s through 2010 was the most intuitive since it most resembled the same way you would do it on any desktop PC. IDF Beijing 2011: MeeGo Gets A New Look

Netbooknews had a chance to look at the MeeGo tablets that were on display at the “MeeGo Fair” that took place after the press announcement. The hardware is new and is looking to get branded by an OEM and is based on Oaktrail. Its a 10.1 inch device with a 10mm thickness running the Z670 1.50GHz processor with an 1GB or RAM and an SSD of an unknown size.
