Mobile handset maker Sony Ericsson Tuesday said first-quarter net profit fell as the company suffered from a lack of new products and supply chain disruptions after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Sony Ericsson, a joint venture between Sweden’s Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson and Japan’s Sony Corp., said net profit in the three months ended March 31 fell to EUR11 million from EUR21 million in the same period a year ago when there was an extraordinary tax benefit. The company forecast modest growth for the global handset market for 2011.

Apple filed a lawsuit claiming Samsung copied the look and feel of its popular iPhone smartphones and iPad tablet computers, the latest in a series of legal skirmishes that underscore the increasingly high stakes of the mobile computing market. The lawsuit, filed on April 15, alleged that Samsung’s smartphones, including the Galaxy S 4G, Epic 4G, Nexus S and its Galaxy Tab touchscreen tablet, violate Apple’s intellectual property. The 38-page lawsuit was filed in the U.S. court’s northern California district.

I really like how Timbre’s look: wooden earphone chambers, brushed silver metal band and black earbuds, in one word – classy. Most high end home speakers are made of wood because of the superior acoustic characteristics of the wood. This is no exception with Timbre’s, the natural wood chambers provide clean, rich and warm sound. When in the right position (sealed properly in your ear), they sound great and only thing you hear is what you want to hear – music, blocking out any unwanted external noises.
All genres I have on my iPhone ( and believe me I have a lot of them ) from Jazz to Rap, Instrumental, Rock, Pop, R&B, Electronic even some Classical ( you name it – I have it ) sounded great. High end sound is crystal clear, vocals precise, with deep natural bass ( but not powerful as some high-end earbuds models ). All in all Timbre’s provide very natural sound, and compared to the earbuds that come with the iPhone they sounded noticeably better. I must admit that I’m really surprised how loud these earbuds sound.

Nokia has announced the launch of Angry Birds Free with Magic at the WIMA Conference to demonstrate the NFC (Near Field Communications) capabilities of the Nokia C7. In this Angry Birds is supposed to you to find friends with Nokia C7 in order to unlock new levels.

Two important features noticed in this phone were dual sim and touch and type. The camera was a below average 2megapixel without flash,the phone lacked wifi and 3G. The phone seemed to run on Symbian Series 40 6th Edition OS and the touch was very crappy compared to Nokia-X3 02 with it’s resistive touch screen
