Finland’s Nokia Corp. hopes to launch its first smartphone based on Microsoft Corp’s Windows Phone platform in 2011, Chief Executive Stephen Elop said in an interview Monday. Nokia can’t say precisely when it will launch its first Windows phone, but hopes for a launch in the current year, Elop told Dow Jones Newswires at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
