JCB Toughphones

Matt takes a look at the new phones from JCB, three ‘Toughphones’. Every now and again, a manufacturer will release a ‘ruggedised’ phone. The process for that seems to be to take an existing idea, and whack loads of rubber round it to make it shock, dust and water-resistant. Nokia did it. Samsung are doing it. Heres a look at MeeGo 1.1 (December 31st daily build)  running on the HTC HD2 with software rendering (which is why it’s *so slow*).
