

This is a working cellphone made in the form of a Star Trek communicator. This is one of 14 numbered prototypes distributed internally at Nokia in 2008. The YouTube member Rapidnadion bought it on eBay from a former Nokia employee who received it as a gift and no longer works for the company. This is a heavily-modified N76 with custom sounds, graphics, and hardware. It is very much a prototype and obviously in a late Alpha or early Beta stage.

Nokia has teamed up with Intuit to provide automated mobile marketing services for small businesses that will also have a knock-on benefit for mobile operators, the two companies announced at Nokia World 2010 in London on Wednesday.
The pair aim to help companies in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) segment of the market get more business by creating personalised offers and marketing campaigns, using location information and the mobile channel. Nokia brings its experience in location-based services and mapping to the table, alongside U.S.-based Intuit’s business software expertise.

Nokia ambushed an HTC launch today with guerilla marketing tactics. Delegates attending HTC’s event were greeted by people walking around holding red balloons against the backdrop of Tower Bridge. The balloons read: ‘I know where I am going with Nokia Ovi maps.’
HTC is expected to announce the HTC Desire HD at today’s event. Meanwhile, Nokia World continues in London’s eXcel centre today. HTC manufactures handsets across a number of platforms, but has a large number of Android devices.
