Saudi Arabia suspended BlackBerry messaging services on Friday, according to users of the smartphones, after mobile providers said the action was being taken due to security concerns.
“It has stopped,” said a BlackBerry user in the western port of Jeddah, adding that his friends also noticed that the services were being phased out on their devices. The Saudi telecommunications authority had announced on Tuesday that it ordered the country’s three mobile phone providers to block the services or face a 1.3-million-dollar fine.

According to our forum user “domur”, the Nokia 5800 got a new firmware update today. The new firmware v51.0.006 seems to only be available for a few products codes for now, but it should soon be available for the rest of the 5800 product codes. So if you are not able to update your phone, try again in a day or so
