Jul 27 2010 Hewlett Packard drops Windows Phone 7 for WebOS Posted by: Phat^Trance in Other Phone Brands, Press releases, Windows Phone 7 Hewlett Packard (HP) will not use Windows Phone 7 on its future smartphones, the company confirmed last week. The IT giant’s European vice president said HP will use WebOS on its smartphones but will use Windows 7 for its Slate tablet, due to be launched later this year. HP has also registered the name PalmPad recently, prompting speculation it is about to launch a rival to the iPad which will run on WebOS.
