  1. Funny, but my phone (5530XM) got Nokia Messaging 10.2 two nights ago.

  2. ok good to know can you tell us what do you think about it?

  3. Since you asked…

My phone wouldn’t let go of the WLAN connection after I updated NM to 10.2. I would disconnect, and it would automatically reconnect, even after adjusting settings. I couldn’t figure it out, so I left it charging and went to bed. The next morning, nothing was different, so I simply drove off to work and the WLAN connection dropped after being out of range. When I got to work, I was able to access the work WLAN at will and if I disconnected, it would stay disconnected. Even after I returned home, things were still good with WLAN.

Other than that, the app has been working fine, so I put a shortcut (@ symbol) on my home screen.

Can any one give me link to this newest version. I don’t have enough credit to download this software through mob.
And can any one tell me is it good and whats bad in it?
    Thank you

  5. @AJ in order to turn off WLAN, You have to go to Options>Tools>Go Offline.

  6. why do my widgets never look like the ones on the pictures of nokia…?

  7. Nokia’s software seems to be sucking more and more these days. STILL waiting on UK releases of the new N97 firmware…

  8. @AJ
i had the same problem with my 5530.
after i hardreset the phone everthing was fine.
but maybe if you set in settings->connections->destinations->Internet->dobble click on your wlan connection. the last point something with accesspoint from automatic to after accept.

or if you go to connections->Wireless LAN->Options->Settings and set it how you want

sorry for my realy bad english :D

which product keys are available for 5530 ?

  9. works perfect on my 5800. had a problem with prevoius version not displaying images in html format but now i can see all imges.

  10. I still have the same problem as with the old version. When I try to setup my email it keeps saying: verifying password….. Even though it just consists of letters, anyone an idea whhere the problem might be?

  11. couldn’t make this version work with permanent WAP connection. luckily the old version is still available at email.nokia.com.

…another bad update from nokia…they just tend to break something with every update they release.

  12. were I can download ?

  13. No problems here, works fine on my 5800! And indeed, no more problems with displaying pictures in HTML-mode! :)

  14. Hi guys… maybe i’m just being a huge n00b but… how do i use it or run it??
I downloaded the update but no new icon or new app
    Plz.. ty…

  15. well…i didnt get any new icon in apps…and those photos look more like “communities”!

  16. instant messaging is still not available for nokia 5800. only mail and social messaging.

  17. I had it for quite some time now, and noticed hardly any difference, didn’t notice a thing, except the bug with going offline and online and the HTML. I didn’t even know it had these supposed AWESOME features until i saw this post.

In desperate attempts to make this “facebook” and “yahoo messenger” work on Nokia Messaging, I searched all possible buttons and settings, but to no avail, these services are NOT, I repeat, are NOT AVAILABLE on my NOKIA 5800 v40 – Nokia messaging 10.2.

If anyone can correct me, please do, and Help. Thanks.
