Look at that friggin’ huge border around the lcd. Once again Apple couldnt maximize the screen real estate. Nothing more than a big iphone. What kind of technological miracle is that? Take the iPhone,make it bigger? Some genius had to come up with that one.

You guys don’t even know what it’s like to use one so you can’t really say it’s going to be bad just by looking at it. I’m not saying it’s going to be perfect, I’m not even saying it’s going to be good I’m just sick of people saying stuff about things they’ve never experienced.

Targets are clearly not prosumer, but consumer who want just “the internet” like Facebook, instant on the screen without any hazzle of computers like caring about security or software incompabilities, driver etc.

To approach prosumers (if you read dailymobile you most probably are one) there are just missing things like notifications on the homescreen (ie widgets for facebook, twitter, etc). But that’s just a software issue that may be resolved. Time will tell.

So what am I going to use this shit for? Surf the web? .. I’m certainly not gonna watch movies, photos or email on it. It’s a laptop without a keyboard, and when you need to type something its not going to be comfortable with the touchscreen keyboard as it’s going to slide around in your lap. A obviously nice to see they still use multitouch touchscreen on the it as it’s still patented by nokia.

@Andy doesn’t that defeat the whole purpose? We have screens with keyboards they’re called laptops! I’m sorry but I cannot see any point in buying this glorified ipod Touch. It doesn’t even have a proper HD resolution

In the video they claim its the best photo and video watching experience… Hmm i think my HD tv and Blu-ray is just a little bit better, close call though :S

Design of the device is poor, well at least is bellow apple level. It’s not looking bad, it’s just decent looking., I expected way more/better looking device. Next the UI is the same as on iPhone, same icons / keyboard and other stuff we all got bored from. Third, there isn’t anything new about this device, it’s just oversized iPhone.

I got really offended as their customer after watching this video. There isn’t anything magical about this device, apparently apple is all about marketing/money these days. They think their customers as sheep’s and that they will buy anything they create.

yeah.. there’s definitely no better way to surf the net or watch video than on an 10” screen^^

The competition is just friggin jealous and nervous about this new revolutionary product from Apple. All they can do is try to copy but will not come close – as always.

A netbook with 10.1 inch screen costs 300 €. And it has multitasking, you can read books on it, it has 8 hours of energy, has about 4 USB connectors, Wi-fi.. Etc.

Apple sell what they want…. People only de avatar of apple… and buy…. What happen with the iphone?? Don´t have the best hardware of market…. The web browser ( safari ) doesn´t suport flash… If you want to view some pages with flash…. lol… you don´t see… And all the people buy an iphone to surf on the web… why??? on the market exist de windows mobile, with suport to the full flash, maemo 5 ( N900 ), And Symbian with skyfire ( the defalt ie support flash, but not full flash )….

I think people buy apple products, because its fashion…. and because “the others have”….

it is just a glorifed iphone, there talking about multi touch this etc, but wheres multi task? they talk about how you can watch movies etc but you still have to plug it into a PC/MAC! If they had it’s own USB/memory card holder, even if it was a extension so it wouldn’t ruin the looks, it’ll be 10x better.

Calm down people I never said anything was better than anything or that this was better than a laptop/netbook.
