Hands-Free Calling with the Nokia Speakerphone HF-510 – Review
Posted by: dani2xll in Nokia, Nokia Accessories

The Nokia Speakerphone HF-510 provides you with an easily managed way to make and receive calls hands-free. Thus allowing you to keep your hands on the wheel and to continue to drive safely. The HF-510 comes with a car charger along with all the accessories allowing you to mount the speakerphone to the windscreen, sun-visor or the dashboard in your car. Follow the break for the full picture gallery on the HF-510.
The battery (non-removable but rechargeable) takes two hours to charge and the speakerphone sounds an indicator as well as a full battery icon on the display to let you know that the charging cycle is complete. A fully charged battery gives you 30 hours talk time and 180 hours standby time approximately. The HF-510 has an on/off switch with a battery saver cut-out of 30 minutes to allow it to connect, and switches off automatically at the end of that time if not connected to a device. You can copy numbers from your mobile to the HF-510 via bluetooth. The HF-510 supports 3 contact numbers per person.
The HF-510 has voice dialling in addition to last number redial allowing you easy access to dial your contacts. Received calls are accompanied by caller line identity and the contact name will show if you have their details in your speakerphone.
In use the HF-510 is loud in volume and this can be increased or decreased according to your preferences. The clarity of the display allows you to quickly see what function is occurring be it receiving a call, checking the contacts list or other display functions. The display also shows indicators when you change functions on the speakerphone such as increasing or decreasing the volume. In speaker-mode voices are clear and distinct. I had the idea of switching the profile on my mobile to off so that only the HF-510 speakerphone would ring as I found it a bit confusing to have both devices ringing at the same time. However, if you put your phone on silent, the HF-510 also goes to silent.
As a hands-free speakerphone the Nokia HF-510 covers the majority of features one requires as a car owner looking for an all round hand free product from a reputable phone manufacturer.
