The Nokia N97 software update release 2.1 will be available through the Nokia Software Updater on Monday 1 February. The software version number will be 21.0.045 (RM-505) or 21.2.045 (RM-507) depending on your region, and should be available by 08:00 GMT. The release for N97 China 2G (RM-506) will follow shortly. This 2.1 release offers additional improvements to the 2.0 release made last year.

Firefox browser for Maemo devices (Nokia N900 etc) goes final only 3 days after the RC3 release. There are currently over 40 Firefox add-ons available. View the catalog here, or search for and install add-ons directly from the Add-ons Manager. Extensions installed in the Firefox for Maemo 1.0 may require updates to achieve full functionality.
Download Firefox for Maemo by visiting Firefox.com/m on your Nokia N900. You can also go to Firefox.com/mobile and send an SMS text message that contains the download link directly to your Nokia N900. If you don’t have an N900 you can download a build of Firefox for mobile to your desktop in order to test, provide feedback, and build add-ons.
