can’t install it like the other update
maybe it doesn’t run because my mobilephone is from germany…
always the same error
you probably have a custom firmware and needs to wait a bit longer :/
probably… always says “update package not compatible with the phone. contact your service provider.” I love updating software
if you do not care about not having support anymore (which you do not have in fact anyway – as you are not able to update your firmware over the air) – try changing your product code, upgrade your firmware and chaneg the product code back
does changing product code of a phone void its warranty??
@liborson, thanks for the tip, i will try it if the firmware brings some real improvements, i found a tutorial in www and it looks easy (but a little bit dangerous^^)
Hi,
yes, changing the product code breaks the warranty. You can change it back after the firmware update though.
To be frank, I way really thinking long day through IF I should have change the product code. However, since I was unable to update from 10.x to 11.x – and got NO SUPPORT from Nokia Center anyway I went this dark way. No regrets with 20.x at all.-
how to change the product code?
how to change back the previous product code(version) after updating new version?
I’m very happy with this update, the contacts bar scroll much better now, it doesn’t accidentally click a contact when scrolling (scroll on the black name box part) and it’s a lot more smooth. I’m not sure about anything else but overall seems great
It’s faster than the old version, it works very good! =)
to change back the code, just do the same like when u changed it, and put your correct product code =)
my touch reponse vibration also changed. love it
my phone’s turned superfast after the update!
its now got:
a brilliantly smooth kinetic scrolling in the contacts bar
nokia maps(i’ve been waiting for this one)
ovi contacts
a lot more smoother kinetic scrolling in the contacts and messages section.
thanks nokia.. my phone’s come somewhere near to being a poor man’s iphone!
i wish to see kinetic scrolling included in the menu as well in the next upgrade
