A friend is someone that I have a personal relationship with, Nokia are a company who make phones, where is the connection there? Sorry but thats got to be about the worst analogy I’ve heard for a long time. The fact that you relate Nokia as being on the same level as a friend is quite disturbing.

You aren’t really saying anything, you are merely regurgitating the same fanboy nonsense I’ve heard a million times before, while blatantly disregarding any facts that don’t fit your picture.

Why do people need to support Nokia? They are just like any other company, your success or failure should be based on the quality of your products, not blind loyalty from fanboys.

So its ok for Nokia to sue Apple, but its not ok for Apple to sue Nokia, do you even realise how much of a fan boy you are?

im not arguing that nokia makes the best fones in the world. im saying theyre better dan the iphone.

u can go and jump from fone to fone but ppl need to support companies like nokia, they are the companies who made it possible for all the others.

and apple shouldnt be sueing for 30yr old patents wen they infringed on newly developed techs and get bit for it. y dont they sue microsoft and all the other companies.

It doesn’t matter if Nokia had been working on the N97 for the last decade, it still runs on the same crap hardware as the 5800 and its even cheaper spin offs, if Nokia really cared even a little it wouldn’t be selling low end hardware at premium prices, would it?

Paying off the workers who make the phones isn’t going to save Nokia, its the people responsible for running the company that need to go, they are the ones who have been making the bad decisions. Fire the people who brought us N Gage and Ovi store.

You can’t seriously think N Series aren’t bellow par, the core hardware is a 434Mhz cpu with absolutely no GPU support, I can buy a T Mobile Pulse (Huawei U8220) here in the UK for a quarter of the price I’d pay for an N97, but the Pulse has a 528Mhz CPU and double the RAM, not to mention the OS is far superior to S60v5.

You should probably brush up on real world economics, as you aren’t grasping how it works. Flooding the market with cheap phones would only balance profit if they were actually making enough profit on said cheap phones, but they aren’t and thats why they are having to pay off thousands of staff. Nokia is only keeping market share buy selling cheap phones, but it isn’t making much money by doing so. In contrast Apple are selling less but making huge amounts of profit.

I’m sorry but being good at destroying a phone doesn’t rank high on my list of worthwhile qualities, maybe its because I’m an adult and as such these things are just a little bit sad.

ps. nokia has released a number of cheap fone to flood the market and ballance profits. untill then we’ll have to see what else they hav planned

If thats why you buy Nokia phones then you’ve got serious problems. Nokia hasn’t produced quality phones since the N95 and it certainly doesn’t care about its customers, if it did then it wouldn’t keep palming them off with buggy phones running on under powered hardware.

I’m sorry but that whole tehkseven video was deeply embarrassing for tehkseven, whoever made it should really get out more, maybe even make some friends. Also you are simply speculating, please stick to facts that you can actually back up with data.

Nokia invincible? Your either 10 years old or mentally challenged. Please take a look at Nokia’s 2009 finacial report, then tell me they are invincible. They are getting absolutely hammered financially, this is why they are paying off thousands of staff and closing down flagship stores.

While they might still have the lead in terms of market share, their profitability has fallen through the floor, they are now making substantial loses. Now look at Apples finacial report, they have made huge profits from just the iPhone alone, this has to be deeply embarrassing for Nokia. As to Sony Ericsson they were losing money well before the economy crashed so your example carries no water here.

Also learn how to read, I said and I quote “Even now its flagship devices run on the same core hardware as its low end touch screen phones”

Nokia’s low end touch screen phones are the 5800, 5530 etc, they all have touch screen and run on Symbian.

If your going to reply to this message, at least try and be partially right about something, as currently your pretty much wrong about everything you’ve said.

we dont buy a fone for its badge, we buy em coz we know that nokia has quality in its products and we know theyll take care of us.. take a look at tehkseven for example for wat he done to the n900 n its still good. put the iphone through the same n it wont get past the drop test properly.
i will never by anything coz of “hype” about the product. ill do research 1st. and the fact that ive used practically all the phone systems including the new toshiba tg01 and the old sagem phones, name 1 ive used it, and i still chose nokia speaks for it self.
sum ppl decide to follow the crowd and the media and sum ppl like to do the deciding for themselves.
