Im not sure how true this is but a video have been published on YouTube showing some “official Nokia document” of the Nokia N87 with 12MP camera. So what do you guys think? Is it the real thing or just another fake video?

Looks swell if it’s real. Altho its contradictive since it will prob. have maemo with 600mhz cpu and 800×480, and some people that i know love to use maemo with stylus. And n87 instead of n98 just because of the media slider? Yet if it’s true, it’ll be my next phone

Dual LED and Xenon? What’s the reason in terms of economy or whatever? I know that some people would argue that it would be for photo and video, but come on… Apart from some shady chinese manufacturer that tries to put that on a phone, who else will do it??
Maemo devices will have three numbers in its index, so it should be NXXX not N87.
Also, a 12 MPx device, if there’s some logic left, should go to the N98.
Finally, assuming it’s symbian (see the menu/multimedia/home/whatever button), it couldn’t have that resolution.
And the icing in the cake is for sure the “small” 3.2″ screen. In such “beast” it would make it just lame….
Xenon can’t light up permanently, hence Dual Led for video recording.
I hope this snappy 600 Mhz means ARM Cortex-A8. And 3.2 with such pixel density is a little small :/ Let’s hope it’s OLED.
Fake as hell.
Already some spot-on points made here, but I’d also point out the call and end call touch buttons. Even Nokia wouldn’t do such a bad design. They are right next to each other, so it would be next to impossible to finger them correctly.
This is just a fake design which has taken parts from already existing phones and clearly the lack of experience in fonedesigning shows.
Its not fake otherwise nokia would have not removed the videos from Utube. Nokia only tends to remove the real videos. also it does not have maemo software. When released it will have the symbian OS. The logic is there. first n85 (5mp camera) then n86 (8mp Camera) and now N87 (12 megapixel Camera).
Its all still being tested so the final design and specs may change when released.
Nokias first 8 mega pixel camera phone was released in feb 2009 which was the n86 so it would make sense for nokias 1st 12 megapixel camera phone to be the n87. Expect to see it at the “Mobile World Congress Convention” in FEB 2010.
Also the End Call button is not touch screen its just flat. Its the same as the N85 and N86. I believe the n86 is nokias best phone to date. The only thing it had missing was a xenon flash. now it has both the phone will be the best nokia have released again.
