Apple officially announced today that it has broken the 100,000 App Store barrier with over 100,000 applications now available from a universal range of 20 categories some of which include business, news, reference, health and games. Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president said “The iPhone SDK created the first great platform for mobile applications and our customers are loving all of the amazing apps our developers are creating.” Travis Boatman, vice president of EA Mobile added “The App Store has forever changed the mobile gaming industry….”

Nokia Life Tools, the service which gives consumers in small towns and rural areas the ability to get a range of livelihood and life-improvement services on their mobile phones, will launch in Indonesia in early December 2009. Nokia also announced five new affordable and easy-to-use phones which will support Nokia Life Tools, and these phones will also be available globally.
