Cnet.uk has published an article about why they think the iPhone is the “worst phone in world”. What do you guys think? To be honest i actually didn’t like the iPhone at all until i jailbreaked the phone (its like going from a brick to a pretty nice working phone). Its really impressive how many good customization apps there are available in Cydia.
If the iPhone is inaudible, unconnected, on fire and out of battery, why is the thing so popular? The fact is, although the iPhone is the worst phone in the world, it’s the best handheld computer there is. Web browsing is a revelation, it’s a fantastic music- and movie-playing iPod, and it’s easy as pie to install thousands of apps that do everything from editing your photos to tuning your guitar. And unlike its competitors, its responsive touchscreen and crystal-clear user interface make tapping away on the iPhone a real pleasure.

well i dont like the iphone, too expensive in my opinion. lots of useless apps. the only thing i know is good a is the browsers , any phone can do so i dont know what the big deal is. just tell me one thing iphone can do and n97 5800 g1 i mean any other high end phone cant do? and dont incluide the compass lol

This is by far the best phone i ever had! I had Nokia N82, N97…but i sold them not long after! Apple have so many geat apps and games…internet work very fast with the 3G…just amazing!! I was a Nokia fanboy!
Thse who say you were Nokia fanboys are at heart and always have been, IPhone fanboys with a dislike for others who are better than the Iphone . My argument is that the Iphone is starting to look very dated now, with superior OS’s in Android 2.0 and with Maemo 5 in it’s infant stages already looks a generation ahead of the Iphone OS X bs and performs a million times more efficiently. @ anus, you’ve pretty much spoken for what you are because that is exactly what you are, an anus, lol! Go and learn how to argueand back your facts properly with some full on constructive points and then maybe someone with half a brain will take you seriously.
The Iphone has been the same with minor upgrades for almost three years and it still lacks what some other phones have been doing since 2003. The only reason this POS is top is because of the slick touch screen and web browser which IMO, is bettered by the HD2/N900 so it is no longer the best in the biz. Plus all the hype and fanboys which follow this without a brain of thier own with a willingness to kiss Steve Jobs’s ass.

my nokia 5800 XM can’t.. don’t know if the n97, n900 or g1 is able to do that..
this is the only advantage

So, who actually read the article? Or even the excerpt? Phat, did YOU even read it?
The article is not how the iPhone as a whole is a piece of garbage. The article is talking about the iPhone being the worst PHONE on the market while giving compliments to all of the other non-phone features it has that are so popular. And for that reason, I agree. On all three iPhones I’ve used, call quality, reception, volume, and number of dropped calls were noticeably worse than almost any other phone I’ve ever used. The “loud”-speaker was probably the worst of it all though.

Jonathan, of course i read the article. And as o wrote in the post, the jailbroken iPhone is probably the best phone out in the market right now! Android is getting close but for now Android feels to much of an “beta” OS. Hopefully it will be better within a year or so
i havent tested the N900 yet so i cannot say anything about that. Hopefully ill buy one as soon as the N900 get released in sweden
Phat, I don’t think you understand the article like a lot of the users commenting here.
Are you trying to tell me that jailbreaking an iPhone improves its reception, call quality, or is able to reduce the amount of dropped calls versus a non-jailbroken iPhone? Because that’s what we’re talking about. Not how many amazing apps is has, not how awesome any of its other features are, just how it performs as a PHONE, as in placing and receiving calls.
Its not the worst but its not the best neither.

what iphone version is that shown in the above pic???and i have n95 8gb …my camera is gone mad and the slider from right side aint working fine…im buying a touch phone this year end…iphone apps and games are good and thats what i want..i will jailbreak it if i get it…anyother phone in iphone 3g range(2nd hand)
iPhone is just a trendy and cool phone in the world. It has user interface layout actually same as nokia phones, but maybe some owners accidentally got some low quality of iphone as they go for too many productions. BTW, i’m not iPhone users and frankly, its a cool phone on earth! Not the worst!
I have the iPhone and it is the best phone I have ever owned
