well, he calls it a draw, but he forgets the multitasking on android. what is my opinion is a huge +. so lets call the droid the winner

It’s funny the reviewer overlooked that very important smartphone characteristic. I love the Iphone and what it brings to the table, but the Droid is giving me a hardon. Seriously.
John,
Thanks for posting this video. You definitely covered things that many people want to know.
Because I can niggle (and do!), I noticed that you made a worse typo on the iPhone, despite your familiarity (you typed thUs is a test, which isn’t just a typo, but a weird statement. On the Droid you typed this is a text, which it was.
Also, on the Droid you state in the video that it keeps up just as well as the iPhone, but I think you spoke too fast, because at 12:09 and 12:10, you’re flicking your fingers expertly and the screen simply isn’t scrolling. It really looks like the Droid takes a few extra scroll gestures on your part for it to wake up.
Double mentions the multi-tasking that Droid can do. The iPhone does support core functions multitasking (you can listening to music and read email, I believe). But while the iPhone can’t run, say, FaceBook while also running Pandora in the background, the Droid (and all Verizon phones) cannot send and receive email or browse the web while on the phone. The iPhone does offer that kind of multi-tasking.
Also, one last thing — the Droid won’t work when you leave the country. The iPhone will roam at exorbitant fees or you can jailbreak it and pop new SIM cards in for each country. The Droid isn’t a world phone, so people like me can salivate after it, but it simply won’t let me send and receive email on the fly when I’m flying around the world.
That said… It seems like the Droid & the iPhone are the main contenders in my mind for my at-home needs. If I go Droid, I might keep my unlocked T-mobile 8320 Curve and buy pre-paid SIMs for when I leave the country.
Gib Wallis,
The droid can actually send and receive mail or browse the web while on the phone.
while connected to wifi though
Actually the droid is getting multitouch, and allows WAY more customization. And, for all those iphone people, you can get FREE iphone themes on droid.
hey,
Well, getting a free iPhone isn’t that hard. All you gotta do is find the right place. That’s all there’s too it. Did you know there are plenty of contests that ya can sign up for. Almost all offer free stuff … heck, it’s how I got my free iPhone
