Motorola’s new handset the Google-powered Droid is likely to be compared to the iPhone. Running Google’s Android OS v2.0 the Droid is both a phone and mobile-computing device. However, there is something lacking in the ‘out of box’ experience due to the richness of all that it carries.
The Droid has voice input throughout the majority of the device, Google maps overlaid on GPS, simplified search option and cloud ability for contacts, documents schedules etc. Though one must remember the recent sidekick-data loss so it is always good to have alternative back-ups for such occasions.
Primary touchscreen it also comes equipped with a qwerty keypad. Multi-tasking and switching between them is a smooth process. Android is lacking in apps at present, but this will certainly increase over time.

“Android is lacking in apps at present, but this will certainly increase over time.”
Android is only lacking in apps if compared to iphone, and if thats the case all other OSs are lacking in apps. Android has 10000 apps, i would hardly call that “lacking”.
Most of the android apps are actually useful as well.
call me when someone makes a superior device. This is just a me-too device. The specs don’t even beat the iPhone outright. We all know Apple is already working on an iPhone killer already while everyone else is working on catching up.
well, as good as it looks, it’s no comparison to the iphone – that’s a fact
Well, if you say so…
This Motorola is better than Iphone, as N900, HTC HD2, Toshiba TG01 do.
(my opinion as a consumer)
That´ss the big fact
the only “new iphone” is a new iphone
