They have now successfully completed an upgrade of a jailbroken iPhone 3GS from the 3.0 firmware to 3.1 without loosing the jailbreak. This means that it wont take that long before they will update the PwnageTool that will help you update your jailbroken 3.0 firmware to 3.1.
