Symbian: Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Hands on

Mark over at the Nokia Blog takes a look at the Nokia 5530. The 5530 XpressMusic does not offer 3G connectivity, but is equipped with Wi-Fi. While not as high-end as the 5800, this device comes with a 3.2MP camera with LED flash, 3.5 mm audio jack, and a touchscreen display offering resolution of 640×360.

Nokia 5800 Firmware v31.0.008 now available via NSU

The Nokia 5800 firmware version v31.0.008 is now available for download via NSU. Dont forget to backup your data before updating your phone! I haven’t found any changelog yet, but i will update this post as soon as i find one .

Update: This software release comes with a new version of Ovi Maps, which offers improved maps and enhanced pedestrian and drive navigation. Motorola CLIQ-DEXT

The Motorola DEXT  (or the T-Mobile version: CLIQ) is the manufacturer’s first Android-based phone. It will run the personalized MOTOBLUR interface, capable of taking all important information from the world of social networks and serving it right on the user’s homescreen. Hardware features include a 3.1-inch HVGA screen, 5MP autofocus camera, 3.5mm jack, 3G, Wi-Fi and a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard. There will also be an international version, called the DEXT.

Mobile Broadband Hotspot on Vodafone UK Goes Live

Vodafone Mobile Broadband Hotspot is now live and will offer 3G broadband benefits for wi-fi enabled vodafone customers with laptops. Customers on the Vodafone network will be able to connect devices via the hotspot as long as there is a 3G Mobile Broadband and the Mobile Broadband Hotspot device. No additional software is needed. The  Mobile Broadband Hotspot is the size of a credit card and has a microSD slot for 16gb of additional memory.
