Review: Btstripes Case For Nokia N97
Posted by: Phat^Trance in Gallery, Nokia, Nokia Accessories, Reviews
The same folks that let us review the Martin Fields overlay plus, gave us an opportunity to review their Btstripes case for Nokia N97. They have a wonderful collection of color combination that will suit most every user. The pouch fits snug around the N97. The first time I had to put my phone in, I actually had to use more force then excepted to make it fit. After the first time, it was much easier to put the whole phone in. My case came in orange/blue.
Thank you to our sponsor once again, I could choose the color I preferred. Now not only my phone but also my case gets people’s attention. Most of my co workers, know what a mobile phone nut I am. That still does not make a difference when I show them my new gadgets and accessories that come with it, they make this face as if in ‘disbelief’ – really. When I tell them that I get to review phones, and all kinds of accessories that come with the phones they can’t wrap their head around this concept.
The case what I LIKE:
- Practical in that it secures the unit in its place and gives it a snug fit.
- It looks really cool on my desk, when people stick their head into my office.
- It is very soft on the inside as not to damage/scratch the phone itself.
- It is made of a rougher material on the outside for durability and endurance.
- It has actually a really well made stitching, that makes it look solid, well put together.
- It does its job as a protective layer against possible damage. (Note it is not designed to be accident proof, just to shelter the phone from minor encounters with other objects)
- Dose NOT have any magnet/metal elements that could otherwise interfere with the phone and in long term exposure actually damage the phone itself. That is a huge plus for this particular case.
The case what I DON”T LIKE:
- I wish there was an option to actually add a belt clip/loop to the back of it so I could carry it on me. As it stands when I use the case I have to make sure that I have my purse/backpack to lag it around. That is not to say that the case is bulky but without this added functionality it is difficult to carry it in the pocket.
- Another issue that I have had, but it could very well be due to my busy, busy existence in the office, is that when I have the phone in the pouch on vibrating alert only, I tend to miss the incoming messages and calls as it lessens the intensity of the vibrating mechanism.
CONCLUSION:
Overall I have been really happy with this case, as it looks great and delivers the shelter that I want for my phone. It has survived me camping and going to the lake where there is a lot of dirt and all kinds of stuff around. Both the case and the phone did a great job and survived without any issues. If having a belt clip/loop is not an important factor this would be one of my top choices to carry Nokia N97 around (also other models are supported) and look good while doing it. Please check out our sponsors site and have a look. I am sure you will find something that might suit your needs. www.bstripes.com
