TweekDeck is said to have had 2 million US dollars (£1.2 million) investment support from the co-founder of LastMinute, Brent Hoberman and Bebo founder, Michael Birch. TweetDeck founded only last year, tweets around 10-15% of all tweets messages sent via Twitter.
Facebook already incorporates the application and it is hoped that TweetDeck will spread across to similar popular social sites. Twitter allows users to send 140 character messages via mobile phones or the internet. Twitter has had far reaching effects with tweets sent during the Mumbai and Iran attacks by eye witnesses to the event. [via]
