Nokia N85 gets a Firmware update to v30.019

The Nokia N85 also got  a firmware update today! The new firmware version is v30.019  and you can download it from NSU (Nokia Software Updater application) or OTA (Over The Air). Dont forget to make a full backup (via Nokia PC Suit) before updating your firmware. As usual there are no official changelog for the new N85 firmware.

Nokia N86 firmware updated to version v11.043

The Nokia N86 got a new firmware update today. The new version is v11.043 and you can download it from NSU (Nokia Software Updater application) or OTA (Over The Air). Even though the N86 have UDP its always best the make a full backup before updating your firmware. As usual there are no official changelog for the new N86 firmware.

Phone Arena previews the Sony Ericsson T715. It is a stylish slider, which doesnt surprise with industry-first features, but still offers all the functions the general user needs. The key aspect of the phone is its ability to organize your day through smart desktop and birthday reminders. The QVGA resolution screen of the new device measures 2.2 inches. The T715 also has a 3.2MP camera with Photo light.

Nokia to develop an Android phone?

According to guardian.no, Nokia is going to develop a mobile that runs on Android OS. I wonder how this will affect the Symbian Foundation and the S60-series.

Nokia is understood to be developing a mobile phone that runs on Google’s Android software platform in a strategic U-turn for the world’s largest mobile phone manufacturer.The new touchscreen device will be unveiled at the Nokia World conference in September, say industry insiders, as the Finnish handset giant tries to revive its fortunes in the smartphone market

But according to Stefan over at intomobile (that should have more inside info from Nokia than most of us) says that this is just “fake rumors”. And i agree with Stefan. It is very unlikely that Nokia will develop a Android mobile phone anytime soon. Nokia has just spent to much money on Symbian.

Singapore – Nokia and M1 today announced a collaboration to offer a new, easy-to-use email service to M1 customers. With the Nokia Messaging service, M1 customers will be able to enjoy push email service on the go at a very affordable price.

By subscribing to any of the bundled data plans specially customized for this service, M1 customers will be the first in Singapore to be able to use Nokia Messaging on more than 20 Nokia handset models at a low cost. M1 customers can, for example, sign up for the SunSurf Lite data plan at just 5.35 SGD per month, which is bundled with 20MB of free data, to enjoy Nokia Messaging with any of the designated Nokia handsets.
