Nokia N97, quick video review

There is nothing you haven’t seen or you haven’t heard about the upcoming Nokia N97. The soon to be released flagship device is Nokia’s second touch screen attempt after the very successful 5800. Spotting a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, 32GB on board memory and up to 16GB on microSD memory card, the N97 is scoring high on imaging and storage.

The physical QWERTY keyboard is hidden under the 16:9 aspect ratio, 3.5 inch touch screen along with all the electronics for HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with AD2P, A-GPS, accelerometer, USB charging and 3.5mm head phone jack. Samsung I7500 made official, Android and OLED powered

It didn’t take long for I7500 last night’s rumors to be confirmed today by both 02 and Samsung. The I7500 will be Samsung’s first ever Android phone with 3.2 inch OLED touch screen and Cupcake under the hood. That said, expect no physical keyboard as everything is done on the software side by Android 1.5.

Samsung I7500 comes with quad band GSM, HSDPA at 7.2Mbps, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and 5 megapixel camera with auto focus combined under in a 115 x 56 x 11.9mm package with 1500 mAh battery. Samsung i7500 Samsung’s first Android?

Rumors for the first ever Samsung Android phone are out and about in the name of Samsung i7500. The new mobile phone it’s suppose to hit the market some time in June, exclusively via O2 Germany for around $400. If true, the i7500 will run on Android 1.5 (Cupcake) which basically means on screen virtual keyboard for the 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen. Quad band GSM, dual band UMTS/HSPA, 8GB on board memory and support for microSD card for all the geeky photos you can make it out of the 5 megapixel camera. GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi included.

Operators must slash text message roaming rates
The European Parliament has voted to cap roaming charges for text messages by two thirds, lowering the cost to nine pence from 1 July.

MEPs meeting in Strasbourg approved legistation which cut text messaging rates that have reached 41p. The cap amounts to an average reduction of about 60% in the cost of texting while abroad in the EU.

European regulators had already reached the agreement at the beginning of this month that prices should be slashed and were waiting for the proposal to be passed through the European Parliament.
