Symbian: Nokia Image Exchange updated

Nokia Image Exchange is an experimental imaging service to make browsing and sharing images fun and easy. It aims to provide a seamless integration of a mobile image gallery application and a corresponding web-service. If you haven’t tried it out yet, you can download it freely from here

  • Speed. Performance has been improved especially regarding public browsing and comments. Image Exchange should also be much faster to recognize your friends who join the service and the web interface should also be faster.
  • Browsing published images is no longer limited.
  • Sharing images over Bluetooth is now possible (via Share->Send).

Nokia introduces Point & Find

Nokia has introduced a service that enables people on the move to access information and services on the internet by pointing their mobile phone camera at real-life objects. A beta version of Point & Find, which focuses on movies, is now available in the UK and US. It will later expand into other services and countries.

Nokia Point & Find general manager, Philipp Schloter, said: ‘With Nokia Point & Find, businesses are able to target engaging experiences and calls-to-action to consumers.

‘We believe that this first Nokia Point & Find-based service for movies will add something special to the cinema experience. Simply by pointing their camera phone at a poster for a new movie, people can watch the trailer, read reviews, and find the closest cinema where it is playing.’

Symbian: Nokia Messaging 1.1   Now Supports Hotmail

Nokia Messaging 1.1 has been released by Nokia and it now supports Hotmail and HTML formatted emails.  Still no Nokia 5800 support tho (Hopefully the Nokia 5800 version will be out in May)

New in Nokia Messaging 1.1:

* Get emails in HTML format.
* Sign up with your Windows Live  Hotmail email address.
* Now available on four more phones.
* Available in 23 languages.
