A rumour that had developer widespread about the internet had been confirmed by Samsung. Samsung will be dropping the more catchy name of the “Omnia HD” and replacing it with the more basic name “i8910 HD”.

The launch of the Samsung i8910 HD was soon to come. But it seemed that they had problems with using the original name, but only in some countries. As a result of this, Samsung have allowed local marketing teams in the affected countries to rename the Samsung to the i8910 HD, although the countries affected are not yet known.

One of my reliable sources, the same person who sent the first pictures of the Samsung Omnia HD and the Samsung Beat DJ M7600 informed me that Nokia will release a new touchscreen phone in September 2009. The rumored phone will be the Nokia 5530. Most likely a XpressMusic phone with Symbian S60v5 OS. According to the same source the Nokia 5530 will be featuring a 2.9 inch touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM/RDS Radio, WiFi, approximately 150Mb of internal memory and support for microSD.

This application is a stopwatch that is touch compatible and freeware for your Nokia 5800, N97 and may work on other Symbian S60v5 devices. It has 3 buttons, the green one starts the timer, the yellow one splits the timer, and the blue one laps the timer. Simple application, but could come in handy .
