Then, the "s60v5 compatible" software was made in, eg displaying the virtual keyboard, which I guess the emulator does not display. Then the app forced me to do an over-the air activation, which failed. What's more, the app didn't even want to close correctly, and I had to do a reboot to get the app killed.
