The waiting is now over! The guys over at MMMOOO has finally released the trail version of the MyPhone application for the Nokia 5800 and all other S60 3rs OS phones. You can download and try it out from here

The trial version release note is:
* Amount of pages with icons on being reduced to 2
* App Weather Forecast being limited, only city name “Shanghai” can be properly recognized. App RSS reader being omitted
* SMS/Call notification not included
* Adding own 3rd-part apps being disabled.
* No updating or service support, and no MMMOOO Premium Service.

Just got my Nokia 5800 yesterday which is my third phone in 2 months. First was the iPhone which I loved – but it just lacked in MMS which was enough to put me off it, but boy was I gutted to send it back!
Then I went to a Sony Xperia X1, which lets face it, is rubbish once you’ve experienced the iPhone.
Now I got my 5800 and I love it, and what’s more, with this neat app I can make it look like and work like an iPhone AND have MMS.
If I’m unlucky and don’t win this great software, I’ll be straight after my partner nagging for an early birthday present

Just one word to describe the software: terrible. First, in order to download the demo I was forced to register (give them my email address to get spam). Then, the “s60v5 compatible” software was made in, eg displaying the virtual keyboard, which I guess the emulator does not display. Then the app forced me to do an over-the air activation, which failed. What’s more, the app didn’t even want to close correctly, and I had to do a reboot to get the app killed.
Word of advice: AVOID, at least until bugfixes.
I kinda like it, specially on my new Nokia 5800.
