João! Your trick worked perfectly, no need to install any application! It's the same procedure if you want to get the menu icon back! But I prefer without the icon, hehe.

Good work!

After I installed the application and it fixed the menus, I uninstalled it and later the next day, the menu icon came back mysteriously.
So I'm thinking that it's because I have an older firmware version the fix doesn't stay fixed.
So now I reinstalled the application and will leave it on the phone to see what happens.
It's still nice to have that menu icon gone! Fight the power! Ra Ra!

Yep it works just fine without complications on my N95 8GB v20.0.016 firmware. Thank goodness... menu screen is all better. Whom ever developed this one deserves some great reward! Finally, something a firmware update should have done! Good looking out!
