By checking the new Nokia E66 you will see that the Nokia E66 is not so Different from an N-series device. It runs on the symbian s60 3rd edition fp1 like some Nokia N-Series devices, so it supports a lot of the available third party applications.
Eseries handsets are primarily designed for business so it doesn’t have all the usual N-Series applications but it has a filled office folder with a lot of applications and it also includes the full version of quickoffice.
A calendar is variable on the e66, it is something like an updated version of the actual s60 3rd calendar witch comes with many new features.
The improvements allow you to handle the calendar easier and it looks good and clear in the week and month view.
A new feature in the E66 is that you can search for a contact and call/text/email that person from the home screen.
For example, if I want to contact ‘Joe Bloggs’ I would start to type his name as if I was using the T9 predictive text method on the home screen – Joe would be written ’5,6,3?. As i press the numeric keys the E66 instantly searches for the contact you may want to communicate with and automatically sorts them. The more you type, the fewer results there will be. You don’t have to finish the name, as you can see above, at any time the contact appears you can scroll up and either press the green phone to start dialing or when the contact is highlighted scroll to the right where you can find other options to text or email that person.
