Jun 14 2008 Firefox mobile coming later this year Posted by: Phat^Trance in Other Phone Brands Mobile version of the famous Firefox desktop browser, Firefox Mobile (aka Fennec), is likely to be available to mobile users in Q4 this year. However, it will be available only on Windows Mobile, Symbian and Linux platforms and probably will never be ported onto iPhone or Android. According to Mozilla Europe President Tristan Nitot, the main reasons behind this are that the Android will run only Java programs and that Apple legally does not allow programs with interpreted languages to be run on iPhone. However, Fennec is already available for Nokia Internet Tablets.
