And here is a small preview of nokia n95 8gb that newtype wrote:
Basically, this phone looks and feels totally different than the other N95s…it’s crazy how much better it feels in your hand.
My model was made in Finland and is the US model with US warranty. As I said before, no Spiderman.
Slider was absolutely rock solid. I am definitely impressed by how Nokia has taken measures to improve on the slider mechanism…the slider on this bad boy makes me forget about the horrible N80 slider that Nokia put out.
As you can see, the screen is very big and very bright. However, and this is me being picky, the sceen seems “s t r e t c h e d” out compared to the older model. Once you have it for about an hour, you don’t even notice it anymore. Oh, and (Ricky you will love this), the screen is almost flush with the top part of the slider. No more gunk getting in the sides of the screen. I personally thinks this makes the phone look so much more stylish.
About the media player, it seems that videos are now given a priority on the device, not unlike music – - they can be separate from the pictures. This is great, because, coming from an N80 and N73 as my primary devices, I was tired of having my videos and pictures in the same spot. This was a welcome addiction for me.
The camera blew me away. It starts up quick, and seems to focus and take the picture much faster than the older N95. I was very pleased with the speed. I still don’t like the fact that the settings get reset when you exit out of the camera app. Sometimes I just like to shoot everything in black and white, so this is a minor gripe of mine.
Mine did not crash once while I was handling it, but, I didn’t really put a whole lot of stuff on the device to really push it. Others may be able to comment.
As others have stated, the 8GB of internal just shows up as a memory card on the phone (items in the memory have the card symbol next to them).
So, there was a quick, run-and-gun version of me giving some impressions of the phone. As greenteeth has stated, this is almost like a different phone from the N95s of old.
